Along with our many service events, we also try to spend time recreating in our outdoors. One such adventure is our annual snow skiing trip to Paoli Peaks in Paoli, IN. While this may not be Vail or Aspen, our beginning skiers find the friendly slopes to be more than enough challenge to get started.

 

Living in southern Illinois, most of our kids don't think much about snow skiing; sledding, yeah we do a lot of that, but skiing, not much. So a trip to Paoli is usually a first for many of our new members. Several of our kids make return trips each year, and a few have even ventured out west for bigger slopes.

Anyway you look at it, we are finding another way to spend time outside enjoying our great outdoors.
